The Poson Poya full moon day celebrates the bringing of Buddhism to Sri Lanka by Arahat Mahinda in the dates back in 3rd Century BC. Lots of religious activities are organized all around Sri Lanka and the streets are decorated with beautiful lanterns and Pandals during this time of the year.
