Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka’s political and religious capital from the 3rd century for nearly 1,300 years, flourished with imposing architecture, rich arts and a deep culture.
Today, as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Anuradhapura which was the most ancient kingdom in Sri Lanka, is home to world famous ruins and remnants of a rich collection of architectural wonders built during the kingdom’s heyday.
